ABOUT ROSWELL
'A duo whose voices combine to create a seamless flow of rich, harmonic beauty' ~ Americana UK
Jasmine Watkiss and Zoë Wren formed Americana duo Roswell after a chance meeting led to them being gently forced to sing together in a busy Cambridgeshire market square. Their musical chemistry was instantaneous and they've been singing and writing songs together ever since. The London-based multi-instrumentalists blend close harmonies with candid storytelling, drawing on experiences from mental health to family love to real-life activist adventures at sea.
Roswell's sound, which has drawn comparisons to First Aid Kit, Fleetwood Mac and the Indigo Girls, has taken them from sold-out shows at London's Green Note to stages across Europe, including Costa Festival Ibiza and a showcase at MiCannes, France. Roswell has supported artists including Catherine McGrath, John Smith and Dea Matrona, and played festivals from Cambridge and Shrewsbury Folk Festivals to the Fête de la musique Genève.
Winning Purbeck Rising in their first year as a band, Roswell's first release earned the title of Fatea EP of the Year, and the duo went on to be named winners of the Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Competition. Fresh from tours in Germany and France, Roswell is currently working on their debut album with acclaimed producers and songwriters The Dunwells, with plans to release in 2025.
